The Nebraska Phi Beta Lambda Businessperson of the Year Award recognizes outstanding businesspersons from the private business sector throughout Nebraska who have contributed to the success of Phi Beta Lambda at the local level. Recently, Peru State students met with INSPRO Insurance executives to present the 2017 award.
Last semester, INSPRO’s Jeff Greenwald, along with Brad Smith and Branden Bender, gave several informative presentations on business topics to students on the Peru State Campus. Greenwald, Smith and Bender are all Peru State graduates. PBL members who heard the presentations lobbied to submit Jeff for the PBL Businessperson of the Year Award. Jeff was recognized by PBL at the State Leadership Conference in the spring of 2017.
At the recent meeting held at the INSPRO Insurance office in Lincoln, Nebraska, Greenwald (Chairman) and Bender (Vice President) were present. The guests attending the award presentation were Peru State College President Dan Hanson, Professor and PBL Adviser Dr. Sheri Grotrian-Ryan, Foundation CEO Todd Simpson and Peru State students Travis Carnahan (Senior, Marketing Major from Wahoo, participates in Football and PBL) and Bailey Armbruster (Freshman, Accounting Major from Falls City, participates in PBL and AmeriCorps.)
