MCC PBL Hosts Red Cross Blood Drive

McCOOK COMMUNITY COLLEGE’S Phi Beta Lambda and Phi Theta Kappa collected 21 units at the fall blood drive on campus last week. PBL co-sponsor, Janet Stalder, said the group had two deferrals and a few individuals last minute that did not feel healthy enough to donate. “We had great participation with volunteers from both the PBL and PTK organizations that assisted with setting up, registering, feeding, and cleaning up after the drive,” she said. Stalder also noted MCC had great food donations from the community — as always, “We truly appreciate our food establishments for stepping up and helping with this effort. I heard some individuals say they come to donate at the college bloodmobile —because they always go away with a great lunch after having donated.”
