Midland PBL Partners with F.A.C.E.

On September 27, fourteen Midland University PBL/Business students partnered up with F.A.C.E (Faith, Action, Caring, Extraordinaire) group.  F.A.C.E is an organization that provides activities for physically and mentally disabled adults from the Fremont community. During the event, the students and F.A.C.E members socialized with one another, eating pizza, and playing balloon volleyball. F.A.C.E members were also provided with free shirts, courtesy of Thrivent Financial Services.

After the Social, PBL and F.A.C.E members walked together to the Wickert Event Center where they watched Midland Volleyball play against Doane University. During halftime, F.A.C.E members were recognized by those that were in attendance. After the 5-set match, in which the Warriors were victorious, the Midland Volleyball players met F.A.C.E members and autographed team posters for them.

The partnership between Midland University PBL and F.A.C.E was a complete success. Both groups had a tremendous amount of fun, as Midland PBL member, Samantha Johnson said, “I brought a friend with me and we both enjoyed working with F.A.C.E. and all the other volunteers! “. This partnership has created a good relationship with F.A.C.E, and Midland PBL is now planning to partner up with F.A.C.E again sometime during Midland basketball season.
